ASIS Volunteers’ Day 2026: Strengthening European Engagement

On 23 March 2026, ASIS volunteers from across Europe gathered in Antwerp for an energising Volunteers’ Day prior to the ASUS Europe 2026 event.

The day was designed to deepen engagement by celebrating the people at the heart of the ASIS community and delivering meaningful value through relevant content. It provided a dedicated space for volunteer leaders to connect, exchange experiences, and strengthen relationships with one another and with the association.

More than a single gathering, Volunteers’ Day reflects a key principle of effective engagement: impact grows when global strategy is applied with a clear understanding of regional realities. Europe, like other global regions, brings distinct cultural contexts, engagement styles, expectations, and operational dynamics. Recognising and embracing these differences helps strengthen engagement, empower volunteer leadership, and deliver sustainable, mission-aligned outcomes.

Increasingly, Volunteers’ Day is becoming a strategic platform that helps to build lasting relationships between volunteer leaders, members, and the organisation. By reinforcing connection, recognition, and shared purpose, it strengthens regional engagement and contributes to a more cohesive ASIS community.
